Even though Mljet National Park is the main attraction of the island, the rich nature and wildlife are diverse not just in the Park, but on the entire island of Mljet. Its South hides spectacular Saplunara Bay. The lovely and large Bay is well-known for the sandy beaches of Limuni, Velika, and Mala Saplunara. The beach bay Limuni is about a kilometer long and due to its secluded position, the waters here are quite warm all year round. The crystal clear sea and well-preserved marine life, including unique rare and endangered species, makes Saplunara an excellent location for snorkeling.
After Mljet, we glide through the turquoise waters of the Pelješac peninsula, enjoy the stunning landscapes of craggy mountains, idyllic coast, and vast vineyards. Marčuleti lagoon is covered with the most beautiful white, fine sand and makes it an ultimate spot for intentional relaxation, swimming, snorkeling, or sunbathing before visiting the historical town of Ston or other interesting location. Ston is quite famous for its longest defensive walls in Europe, often called the ‘’European Wall of China’’. Besides the architecture, this charming town has historical salt plains that are open for visitors as well as being the best location for the cultivation of the original European delicacy – succulent oysters.
There are many other secluded locations in this area where you can choose to stop to make memories that will last a lifetime while enjoying complete peace and carefreeness.
We recommend sailing around the Elaphite islands and their wonders before arrival on the Southeastern horn of Mljet island or after exploring the Pelješac peninsula.
In case you are a history lover or if you prefer to know even more about the touring area, we provide knowledgeable and experienced guides that accompany you on the excursion in order to bring you, as close as possible, to the history, value and the way of living on the unique Croatian coast.
Please note that there is an entrance fee to walk the walls of Ston. For adults, the ticket cost is 70,00 HRK, for children from 12 to 18 yo 50,00 HRK, while for children under 12 yo are free of charge.
